WIBFF is an annual film festival and nonprofit that provides an accessible format for black filmmakers through engaging and immersive workshops for the community and a platform for black voices to share their cultures and experiences with a global audience.

Our vision at the Windsor Black Film Festival is to create an inclusive, inspiring, and empowering environment where Black perspectives are amplified and celebrated. We strive to showcase films that challenge the status quo and represent different aspects of the Black experience. We also aim to create an inviting space that fosters discussion and encourages collaboration between filmmakers and the community.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Windsor Black Film Festival is to celebrate and promote Black films and filmmakers by providing an inclusive and inspiring platform for them to showcase their art. Through our events and initiatives, we strive to create a welcoming and supportive environment for Black filmmakers and create meaningful dialogue about issues and stories often overlooked in the mainstream media. We also aim to foster collaboration between filmmakers and the community by connecting them with resources and industry professionals. We hope to amplify the voices of Black filmmakers, promote understanding and appreciation for their work, and create paths for them to reach broader audiences.
